Roundtable: Moving Towards Cleaner Transport & Distribution Through Alternative Fuels & Emerging Technologies

Wednesday, 27 September 2023
15.30-17.00 BST | 16.30-18.00 CEST | 11.30-13.00 EST
Virtual

Scope 3 emissions can constitute a significant portion, often 80% or more, of a company’s total emissions, especially in industries with complex supply chains and extensive transport operations. Increasingly, there is mounting pressure from investors, customers, and regulators for companies to address emissions across the entire value chain, including Scope 3, as part of the global transition to a sustainable and low-carbon economy.

However, managing and measuring Scope 3 emissions, particularly in transport and distribution, can be challenging. The urgency to tackle these issues has been made even more pertinent by upcoming legislation in the UK, EU, and US, mandating more transparent reporting of Scope 3 emissions.

Embracing alternative fuels and emerging technologies presents significant opportunities for reducing emissions in fleet operations and across the supply chain. It is crucial to recognise that alternative fuels and technologies are at different stages of development, each with distinct challenges, limitations, efficiencies, and potentials. Implementing these solutions requires substantial investments of time, funds, resources, and collaborative efforts with partners to establish and maintain the necessary infrastructure to truly drive impact.

By invitation only, the Roundtable on Moving Towards Net Zero in Transport & Distribution provides a platform for senior transport, distribution and sustainability executives from leading organisations to exchange perspectives on the common challenges they face when decarbonising their fleets or supply chain, the alternative fuels and technology they are adopting, and how collaborations, partnerships and innovative solutions can be harnessed to reduce emissions in their fleets and supply chains.

Topics covered will include:

  • Capitalising on the Hydrogen Economy
  • Riding on the EV Revolution
  • Enabling the Value Chain to Decarbonise

Please note that, to ensure that only relevant stakeholders are in attendance, all registrations for the Roundtable will go through a vetting process. We will only send you the invite link for the session if your registration successfully passes this process.
